She Was Poor but She Was Honest

The Canfield collection of 1926 contains two short versions of this mock Cockney song of social protest.  One choice stanza laments:

	See 'im sittin' in the hopera,
	In the front row of the pit,
	While the little girl 'e ruined
	Trudges 'ome through piles of shit.
