Twa* recruiting sergeants cam frae* the Black Watch.
Tae* markets and fairs some recruits for tae catch.
But a'* that they listed was forty and twa.

*Oot - out; *Tattie poorins. etc. - really healthy, vitamin-
filled and fiber-laden primitive, rural Scottish victuals,
eg potato skins, grits and cabbage, fermented oat-husk
porridge, lite beer, watery yogurt-like stuff and
incompletely-baked bread: *Hae - have: *Bairn - child:
*Yairn - yarn; *Dae - do
